iMarkers is the most comprehensive marker database and the only app to combine official markers from participating State Historical Preservation Offices with markers from the National Register of Historic Places and volunteer organizations. Plus, more markers are added each week!
And it’s simple to use. The app determines your location and displays a list or map showing the markers in your vicinity. Adjust your radar to expand the area shown on the map or use your fingers to zoom in or out, then drag to explore other areas. Simply tap a marker pin to read its historical significance, or the app will read aloud when you’re driving or in a group setting.
Each marker description screen includes handy links that make it easy to get directions to the plaque, bookmark it for future reference or email it to share with a friend. Convenient links to sponsoring organizations and other popular reference sites let you further expand your historical research.
